DISconnect/CONNECT

The concept disconnect/connect is simple. Take what grows you from with-in the four walls of the church and put it into action for your surrounding community and wherever your feet lead you. It addresses the religious cycles in American (world-wide) of people religiously going to church on Sunday, simply to assert that they have a higher moral compass than the world around them. "SET APART" commonly misused by the avid church goer!

This by far is not a radical move but more of an acknowledgement of my past complacencies. Always learning never doing, counting small gestures as grand moves of GOD in my life. Wanting a pat on the back for doing what Romans 12: 1-3 considers our reasonable service to humanity.

THE CONNECTION

“ He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well..” MARK 16

The connect to... is to the authority left behind for GOD'S PEOPLE to walk in, while walking out the steps CHRIST ORDERS in MARK. Here I believe, in these words, lies the real truth of why people avoid the church. Our enemy would have us believe the rejection of GOD in people's hearts needs to be our focus. For me personally the greater atrocity is the lack of authority and power of the SUNDAY TO SUNDAY church goer. Myself included, this company for us personally is our step in trust towards the promises of the Word of GOD. JESUS then said in: 19 and 20

19After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, ANDTHE LORD WORKED WITH THEM and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

CONFIRMING THE CONNECTION

This isn't to reassure you that following GOD paves all your paths with gold. I can tell you from experience whenever I walked the path that lines up with HIS will, situations move and unfold in a manner that are played out , just as the Bible says they aught to. This is in line with what faith produces. These move we make now are based on a trust that "whatever you put your hand to shall prosper." Leaving fear behind is liberating, trusting your back is COVERED is only proved by ACTIONS. The good 'ol JAMES 2:17 "Faith with out work is... "
